About
Turtlenotion is a non-profit organization run by high school and university students in the GTA. Our goal is to make education about technology as accessible as possible and personally deliver it to our local community. We aim to create educational content through videos and teaching materials and host hands-on, in-person courses that don't interrupt the academic year.
The Turtlenotion team comes from diverse technological backgrounds. Many of the teachers, education and content planners have extensive experience in the FIRST Robotics Competition, FIRST Lego League, and the Canadian Computing Competition. Everyone in the team has taken technology courses at their schools including Computer Engineering and Introduction to Computer Science, and is either planning to or already majoring within STEM.
The name Turtlenotion comes from the philosophy of patience and perseverance. We hope to leave a memorable impression and allow our students to change their paradigm of thinking, allowing them to partake in STEM to a higher degree.
The company was founded to give back to our communities in the same way they gave to us—personal mentorship from those farther ahead in their goals, free educational resources, and hosting a supportive group of peers. Turtlenotion is the culmination of what we learned and what we believe is the best way to learn it. We hope to provide support in the form of technological education to many for years to come.
